In winter’s tomb
I will lie
Marble mausoleum
Built to the sky
Grey fields and clouds
Meet in between
Fading solstice
Rain washes clean
Pinpricks penetrate
Snow and ice
Exposing darkness
To shreds of light
Stars will tumble
When Earth sways
Martyrs melt
Into greener days
lovely imagery…. thanks for reminding me that winter always ends…needed that today 🙂
